Gulf Cement Company was established as a public joint stock company in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, after obtaining the approval of the authorities and pursuant to Emiri Decree No. 24/77 issued by His Highness the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, dated May 31, 1977, and License No. 2202 issued on April 7, 1978, by the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Economic Development.
The plant was officially inaugurated on April 28, 1982, after being constructed in record time with an annual production capacity exceeding one million tons, making it the largest clinker producer in the UAE and the Gulf at the time.
In keeping with the company’s policy of leadership and development in the industry, and in response to the increasing demand for cement, the company established a second production line, which opened in 2006 with a production capacity of 2.5 million tons per year, bringing the company’s total production capacity to 3.8 million tons per year.
The company is constantly developing and updating to keep pace with technological and technical advancements that serve the production process in terms of quality control and precision, maintaining a world-class product. As a result, the company has obtained several international certifications.
