Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s President, arrived in Amman on February 5 on a fraternal visit to Jordan.
Upon arrival at Marka International Airport, Sheikh Mohamed was warmly received by King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, King of Jordan, state news agency, WAM.

The leaders then held a discussion at Basman Palace in Amman to explore new opportunities for collaboration in the fields of the economy, investment, food security, renewable energy and sustainability.
The UAE and Jordan enjoy robust economic ties, with significant trade and investment flows. Both nations share common goals including in regional stability and security.
This fraternal visit signifies the continuous commitment of the UAE and Jordan to their strategic partnership.
Sheikh Mohamed and King Abdullah discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, with a particular focus on the Middle East and the latest developments in the Gaza Strip.
The two leaders emphasised the need to intensify efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and provide full protection for civilians in accordance with international law.
They also reiterated the importance of urgently addressing the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza and supporting the role played by international humanitarian organisations, WAM reported.
King Abdullah II hosted a lunch in honour of the visit, before accompanying the UAE delegation to the airport for their departure from Jordan.
